Getting Started
What is Worksy?
Worksy is a mobile platform that connects clients with verified local service providers for on-demand tasks like snow removal, lawn care, cleaning, handyman services, and more. We feature real-time GPS tracking, secure payments, and photo proof of work.
How do I sign up?
Download the Worksy app from the App Store or Google Play, create an account with your email or phone number, and complete your profile. You can sign up as a client, worker, or both!
Is Worksy available in my area?
Worksy is currently available in major cities across North America. Enter your location in the app to see available services and workers in your area.
For Clients
How do I post a job?
Open the Worksy app, select the service category you need, describe your job requirements, set your budget, and post. Workers in your area will be notified and can apply to help you.
How do I choose a worker?
Review worker profiles, ratings, reviews, and pricing. You can see their verification status, previous work photos, and client feedback before making your selection.
Can I track my worker in real-time?
Yes! Once a worker accepts your job and starts traveling to your location, you can track their location in real-time using GPS. You'll know exactly when they arrive and when they're working.
What if I'm not satisfied with the work?
Review the photo proof of work before releasing payment. If you're not satisfied, you can request revisions or contact support. Your payment is held in escrow until you approve the completed work.
For Workers
How do I become a verified worker?
Complete the verification process in the app, which includes identity verification, background check, and skills assessment. This typically takes 1-3 business days.
How do I find jobs?
Jobs matching your skills and location will appear in your job feed. You can browse available jobs, submit proposals, and wait for clients to accept your offer. You'll receive notifications for new opportunities.
How much can I earn?
Earnings vary based on service type, location, and demand. You set your own rates and keep 85% of what you earn (Worksy takes a 15% service fee). Many workers earn $25-50+ per hour.
When do I get paid?
Payments are automatically transferred to your bank account within 2-3 business days after completing a job and the client approves the work. You can track all your earnings in the app.
Payments & Pricing
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards, debit cards, and digital wallets through our secure payment processor Stripe. All transactions are encrypted and secure.
What are the fees?
Clients pay the posted job price plus a small service fee (typically 3-5%). Workers keep 85% of their earnings, with Worksy taking a 15% service fee to cover platform costs, payment processing, and support.
Are payments secure?
Yes! All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Client payments are held in escrow until work is completed and approved. We never store your full payment information.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are issued if work isn't completed as agreed or if there are quality issues that can't be resolved. Contact support with your concerns and we'll work to resolve the situation fairly.
Safety & Trust
Are workers background checked?
Yes, all workers go through comprehensive verification including identity verification and background checks before they can accept jobs on the platform.
What if something goes wrong during a job?
Every job is covered by liability insurance. If there's an accident, damage, or safety concern, contact our 24/7 safety support team immediately. We take all safety issues seriously.
How does the rating system work?
Both clients and workers can rate each other after each job (1-5 stars). Ratings and reviews help build trust and ensure quality on both sides. Workers with consistently low ratings may be removed from the platform.
Technical Support
The app isn't working properly. What should I do?
Try closing and reopening the app, checking your internet connection, and ensuring you have the latest version installed. If issues persist, contact support through the app or at support@worksy.ca.
How do I update my profile information?
Go to Settings > Profile in the app. You can update your name, photo, contact information, service categories (for workers), and payment methods.
I forgot my password. How do I reset it?
On the login screen, tap "Forgot Password" and follow the instructions. We'll send a password reset link to your email address.
